How long will it take and how many coaching sessions will I need?
How many sessions a person needs depends an that person’s particular needs and situation. Some issues can be resolved in a single session, while others might require on-going attention.
Will you help me find a job manager or agent?
Not directly. As your coach, I will help you strengthen your own skills and you will be able to help yourself.
What if I am not living in your area?
I am available for telephone sessions or face-to-face Skype video chat sessions. With a decent webcam, mic and internet connection, Skype works well. It is easy to install and use.
How long are the sessions?
Typically, private coaching sessions last 1 – 2 hours, depending on what we need to accomplish. I have found that people generally lose the ability to focus after 2 hours, and so, I prefer to break projects requiring more time into several shorter sessions.
How often should we have sessions?
Typically, I recommend scheduling a session every week or every two weeks. If you need to work faster, we can meet more often. Of course, my recommendation depends on your specific situation and needs.
When and how should I pay?
I require payment in full prior to our first coaching session. I accept payments by credit card or debit card through PayPal. I also accept PayPal and personal checks with exceptions. Full Payment Details
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately not. Creative Career Coaching is not therapy and does not treat mental health issues. Therefore, it is not covered by medical insurance.
Do you offer discounts?
Most discount offers will be distributed via my e-newsletter. Sign up for my Newsletter.
Is this expense deductible?
From what I understand, business and career coaching are usually deductible, however please consult your tax professional.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes, I offer a complimentary 30-minute Strategy Session over the phone. This is a great opportunity to see if Creative Career Coaching is ideal for your situation. It also gives you a chance to determine if you feel comfortable working with me.
Will our sessions be confidential?
Yes, it is extremely important to me that you trust me, fully and completely. Therefore, everything we discuss during our sessions will remain between us and will never be shared with anyone else whatsoever.
Hi Cherdon,
My voice over instructor (Lainie Frasier of VoiceWorks, Inc.) referred me to your Austin Film Meet group. She said it’s a fantastic resource for networking and making new friends that are of a creative flavor!
Just a little about me, I’ve been a television photojournalist for most of my career. I’ve bounced in and out of Austin over the past 15 years. I’m currently with FOX 7. 20 years ago, I wanted to pursue a voice-over career, but the Internet hadn’t evolved yet, and “fate” had a much different path for me chasing murders, bank robberies, drug lords, corrupt politicians, chaos, and who’s sleeping with who in Hollywood…plus I needed to pay the bills! 🙂
I’m dying to make it to one of your Austin Film Meet Mixers, however, I work WEEK NIGHTS! I was wondering if you have any other networking opportunities through your group. Maybe a weekend bowling group, or early morning coffee and breakfast tacos?
Looking forward to hearing back to you!
All the best,
Lyle
Hi Lyle, thanks so much for reaching out. I’m so glad Lainie referred you to us. Yes, Austin Film Meet is indeed a great resource for connecting with others in the local film/video scene. You sound like a fascinating individual and I can’t wait to meet you. Unfortunately, our Open Mic Mixers are always on a week night, as it’s much easier to secure a space during that part of the week. However, we do have parties and get-togethers on the weekends. In fact, we just had a taco party not long ago on Sunday. I recommend signing up for our newsletter (or I can add you) to get notifications of upcoming events. I’m not sure when the next one is coming, but we’ll definitely do something soon. And I can’t wait to meet you! Again, thanks for reaching out.
